Join Matt for a unique, intimate, hands-on workshop experience. Distilled over a period of two intensive days, you can learn from the man himself some of the many secrets, habits, techniques, and methods he has acquired and developed over twenty years, thousands of hours, and millions of frames shooting on the streets of London and numerous cities worldwide.

What you’ll learn

Each workshop takes place on the streets over two consecutive days and comprises a small group of no more than twelve participants. Workshops will cover:

  • Having the right mindset

  • Choosing the decisive moment

  • Learning composition in street photography

  • Editing and sequencing

  • Finding or refining your own style

What you’ll need

  • Digital camera with plenty of memory cards

  • Spare batteries

  • Smartphone with WhatsApp installed

  • Laptop or iPad (for editing session on day 2 only)

  • Low key, weather-appropriate clothing

Terms and conditions

Summary of Services:

The tuition fee covers the instructional components of the workshop exclusively. 

Participants are accountable for all additional expenses, including, but not limited to, meals, beverages, equipment, travel, and accommodation.

Eligibility:

Participants must be 18 years of age or older to enroll in the workshop. Due to extended periods of walking during workshops, Participants should ensure they are in sufficiently good health. If there are any health concerns, participants are advised to consult with a medical professional before registering.

Payment and Booking Conditions:

Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure a spot in the workshop.

Cancellation Policy:

a) Cancellation by Matt Stuart (hereafter referred to as “The Instructor”).

The Instructor reserves the right to cancel the workshop for any reason without liability, including but not limited to:

  • Inability of The Instructor to attend due to illness or unforeseen circumstances

  • Insufficient attendance

  • Force Majeure (unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of The Instructor, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, government actions, or any other events that make it impractical or impossible to conduct the workshop)

In such cases, a full refund will be provided to participants. The Instructor is not responsible for reimbursing travel expenses.

b) Cancellation by The Participant:

Participants who are unable to attend are not eligible for a refund. However, they have the option of 1) Finding a replacement for their spot, or 2) Requesting to be rescheduled for another workshop of equivalent value within the same calendar year.

Modifications:

The Instructor may, without penalty, make changes to the itinerary if deemed necessary for the overall experience of Participants. The Instructor reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to accept, decline, or remove any Participant from the workshop.

Liability:

The Instructor shall not be liable for any personal loss, accidents, health-related issues, or damage to personal property incurred by Participants during the workshop. Participants acknowledge and accept all risks associated with their participation, including but not limited to photography activities, traveling to and from locations, and any other related events.

Participants waive any claims against The Instructor for loss, damage, injury, or death arising from their participation in the workshop. The Instructor assumes no responsibility for the actions or omissions of other participants, third parties, or external service providers.

Furthermore, The Instructor shall not be held liable for any loss or damage due to cancellation, delay, or disruption caused by laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders of any government, or by acts of nature, including but not limited to strikes, fire, flood, war, terrorism, sickness, theft, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond their control.

Participants are encouraged to secure their own insurance coverage, including public liability insurance and travel insurance, to mitigate any potential risks or losses. By participating in the photography workshop, participants expressly acknowledge and agree to this limitation of liability.

Image Use:

By attending a Workshop, participants grant permission for images taken of them during the workshop to be used to promote future workshops.

By registering for a photography workshop, Participants acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. The Instructor reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions as necessary, and participants will be notified of any changes.
